JavaScript to monitor a website for errors

I am developing a Chrome extension to monitor a particular website. When I am using that website (any page of that website like a normal user) and some error occurs, lets say, 404 error, User name password is not matching, the JavaScript should capture it and alert me.

Any hints how can I capture these errors in JavaScript? I will run this js as a background job in Chrome extension. Please post relevant articles if you have.

Google Chrome saved html files of some pages don’t show properly

I don’t remember if this ever worked but I’ve an issue with downloading some pages html files, that they don’t show up properly on Google Chrome. However, if I open them up on another browser such as Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer itself, I can see the page without any problems.

I’m gonna make an example with https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Main_Page

Go on that page and you should see how it looks by default.

Now this is how it looks like after downloading the html of it (full html with folder) and open it after that with Google Chrome.

Picture 1

but it’s not supposed to look like that at all, if I open it up on Internet Explorer.

Picture 2

As you see on Internet Explorer it looks fine same on Microsoft Edge, it could be that some small things don’t show up but these are okay.

But why does Google Chrome show it not properly? On Icognito mode it doesn’t show it properly either, it’s not because of a setting as it seem, you can try to reproduce it your own to see.

I hope you can help me.

Website building, ask server to run a script with input [on hold]

I’m quite a newbie in everything related to web development, but I had this project in my mind that I really wanted to realize.

At the moment I am struggling with a method to send a request to the server hosting the website. The idea is that from the site you can enter keywords, and those keywords should be run in a script (python or java(script)) on the server after which it returns an output to the webpage. In theory this script could be executed in the website itself as javascript, but I would like to use the computing power and internet access from the server.

I have researched on using Json and javascript for the job, but I think there has to be a better way for this purpose. Is there anyone that can direct me where to look?

Apache Zeppelin : How to publish whole report to website

After connecting to the PostgreSql Database and retrieving specific data, some (5) visualisations were made. Instead of publishing each paragraph (Each individual visualisation) to a website, is there a way of publishing the whole report (obtained while viewing the notebook in report view)?
